The Brand.
Nuri Sushi Factory is a gourmet sushi restaurant, focused on offering great quality sushi at affordable prices. Inspired by the traditional craftsmanship of Japan, but refined for a modern adventurous culinary pallet.
At Nuri Sushi, they’ve developed an incredibly strong relationship with their customers by offering them the food they already love whilst accomodating for their cultural and religious requirements. Carving out a niche for the brand in the competitive sushi restaurant space in Cape Town region.
Social Strategy.
A Nuri Sushi, a comprehensive social media management strategy was put into place that comprised of effective visual brand storytelling techniques. With consistent colours, fonts, and aspirational brand imagery being utilized for the brand. They were able to establish a clear brand message with their customer base.
A focus on community-led / user-generated content allowed for a diversify of posts that better represents the community of restaurant-goers that frequent Nuri. Finally, with a consistent drive from social to their App & Website has been an integral companion to their eCommerce success online.

The development of a responsive format for mobile and web has allowed the Nuri Sushi brand to maintain a consistent digital brand aesthetic across all of their touchpoints.
Through the implementation of an eCommerce solution through restaurant & driver apps, the Nuri Sushi brand has been able to reach it’s customers online without the need to solely rely on 3rd party restaurant delivery app, like UberEats & Mr D. Allowing them to further establishing themselves as one of the premier gourmet sushi restaurant brands in South Africa.
eCommerce Strategy.

Performance & Results.
The Nuri Sushi eCommerce implementation through their restaurant delivery apps have been a remarkable success in terms of adoption. By the start of 2021 the Nuri Ordering App had 6000+ downloads across
iOS and Android. With 1100+ individual orders received and delivered through their own restaurant platform, totalling revenue in excess of R3.5 million in sales.

Conclusion.
The development of a uniform brand aesthetic as well as an effective restaurant eCommerce solution took time to implement across all of the brand’s digital touchpoints. Similarly, to other projects this required the reworking of all of the brand’s assets, rethinking their use of fonts and brand colours and working with the
team to implement an app ordering solution in a short timespan. But through working closely with the management team, has allowed for increased awareness brand awareness. Even though my involvement in the project has been concluded, I can see the Nuri Sushi brand continuing to expand its reach through
continued investment into digital solutions. It will be amazing to see the brand grow online and continue to innovate in the product space and offer new delicious gourmet sushi… Which I love
